Little Egg Cakes
North Point Little Egg Cakes- This store is in Tsim Sha Tsui. 178 Nathan Road, Tsim Sha Tsui (near Jordon MTR Station)
But wait! There is MORE. Loosely translated as “Little egg cakes” they are the YUMMIEST streets snacks you could EVER get. And THIS. IS. THE. BEST. “Little Egg Cakes” stall in Hong Kong. EVER. This is not the place that would be affected by economic woes. I had to queue up for 20 mins to get my “Little Egg Cakes” and it’s worth every cent ($2.5) and every min of my time. Yes as you can see there’s newspaper clipping stuck all over the shop again.
There it is- my beautiful Little Egg Cakes- I have been eating this every since I have memory- crispy in the outside, and when you eat all the edges off and open up the middle bit- there’s a fluffy little “yolk” on the inside-I simply CANNOT live without this and it’s one of the things I missed most about HK.
There’s a cafe in Box Hill and one in Sydney chinatown that I know of that makes this- let me say- sh*thouse. You’ve got to go to HK to get this. They also sell waffles with peanut butter and sugar *moans* Yumgasmic!
